First of all I’d like to thank you all for being so kind and now the big one: I moved the blog! I’ve been working on something new for a while now and well, it’s finished. I’ve never been so happy with a blog as now. Would you move with me?

Do you remember my list with 35 things I wanted to do this summer? Well, currently I’m working on the ‘design your own fashion line’- thing. Above you can see the inspiration for my line who will be called ‘Sunny Afternoon’. As you can see it’s a combination between the African culture (the left part of the moodboard), think deep characteristic colours, soft fabrics and comfort and the whole European fashion, think haute couture, bright colours and dresses. I’ve already created two looks and I’ll be posting all of them in my following posts (on new blog) , hope you’ll like them! It’s just for fun but perhaps I’ll actually make one of the dresses myself, good giveaway?

Ohh, and I made a new blog. This was the last post on The Souvenir Box. I can’t believe that I’m moving again, what’s wrong with me? ;D Anyway, I’m very happy how it has turned out and I really think this is one to stay.

These past days I’ve been busying myself with drinking more tea than I probably should, walking round the neighbourhood at 1.30 am, doing ballet (or at least; to try so), putting way to much thought into what I wanted to wear, reading more books than I ever have in such short notice, taking pictures of our house, making collages with old magazines, ohh and I actually starting drawing thanks to this wonderful blog , it turned out rather pretty and I promise that I will post some more about my little pieces of art in some following post.xx

Ohh, I love online shops! Since I’m spending pretty much all my free time looking at those sweet little items they offer, you can almost call me an online shop specialist. ;-D  And gosh, did find some wonderful treasures! Here are a few of my favorites:

1. I just discovered this etsy- shop yesterday and I immediately fell in love with it, the founder creates all the adorable accessories herself and sells them for a little price. The leather purse necklace stands on the top of my wish list. 
2. I suppose everybody knows ModCloth and they should. I always find something on the amazing site and now, I reallyreallyreally like these shoes!
3. What can I say about Anthropologie beside the fact that the shop is just perfect? They stock about everything you can wish for, it goes from dresses to books to cookie stands (I love cooking and baking so their kitchen section is heaven to me) . I found this dress in their sale section and I adore it. It makes me think of a ’60 dance dress and I just love the dots detail.
4. Les Jumelles Boutique must be my absolute favorite. They sell the most beautiful necklaces with a vintage touch. It’s been very hard to choose but I think their loveliest item is this cute piano necklace, too bad it’s sold out..

THE NR.1 LADIES’ DETECTIVE AGENCY~ It’s all about the daily live of a lady detective called Precious Ramotswe who lives in Botswana (‘the most beautiful country in the world’, I couldn’t agree more with that line) and is, as she says it herself: ‘of traditionally build’. I don’t know why or how it happened, but I completely fell in love with these books. Perhaps it’s because they’re a perfect combination between my biggest passion, Africa and sweet little sayings like:

‘Men like women who remind them of good thing on the table.’

Anyway, I adore the books. They’re sweet, funny, smart and give you the most beautiful summer feeling. Believe me: once you’ve started reading them, you will not be able to put them down untill you’ve read them all.

 Today I had my first exam (Latin. I’m not very good at it but oddly, the test went good. There must be someone wishing me good luck.;D), I still have five more days (and tests) to go and then I can finally enjoy 2 months of doing absolutely nothing that involves school. I’d love to read this book, and buy something from this amazing designer called Orla Kiely. Since I bought a secondhand bag by this wonderful lady, I’ve been a sucker for everything saying Orla Kiely.

I’m also planning on going to Africa for 2 weeks which means that I will not be able to post anything. But when I’ll get back I’ll be more than happy to share every little detail with you dears. 

PS: Who wants to be penpals with me? I love mail and I adore my readers so I think it might be fun.

Yesterday I went shopping to enjoy the last weekend before my exams -aaarg, I’m really stressed!- ;D- and it was great! Because sales will start in about a week, the city was peaceful; no busy shoppers or full fittingrooms. I bought a pair of jeans, a lovely top, an adorable dress and a wonderful skirt (everything from Zara). Especially the skirt made my day, it’s a short white one with little diving girls on it. As soon as we got home I wanted to share it with you dears. (although I wished I took some better pictures) It will look great on a plain dark blue top and flats, don’t you think?

PS: The lovely Glamirrorous wrote the sweetest piece about me. She is so kind and although I have never met her, it feels like she’s been a close friend of mine for years. I love this girl.

PPS: I was watching the World cup (don’t ask why. ;-D ) when I heard the awful news about the Mandela family’ great-grand child, I thought I was going to burst out to tears. These people have already been trough so much misery… But this amazing girl wrote the most beautiful post about the loss, it somehow made me feel better.

A big lovely summer movie recommendation: The adorable movie 500 days of summer. I watched it with joy and loved it a loooot. It’s filled with sweet dialoges, pretty clothes and a wonderful soundtrack. I’m going to let you dears take a peep:
